3. How and why we use it
We use personal information only for clear, limited purposes:
- To reply to your questions, enquiries and messages.
- To send you the updates you asked for, which you can stop at any time.
- To prepare proposals and deliver services you request from KD Digital Hub.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Our lawful basis

- Legitimate interests: for site security and preventing spam and misuse, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation: where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site, and only as far as needed:

- Email delivery: form notifications are delivered to our own Gmail inboxes, provided by Google.
- Analytics: Google Analytics, provided by Google, measures site usage.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our visitors or the public.
6. Transfers outside Kenya
Some of our service providers, notably Google, may process information on servers outside Kenya. Where this happens, we rely on providers that apply recognised safeguards to protect personal information, in line with the requirements of the Data Protection Act, 2019.
7. Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. When you first visit, a cookie banner asks for your choice. We use two categories:
- Essential cookies (always on). These make the site work securely and remember your cookie choice (cookies beginning with
cmplz_, kept for up to 365 days). - Statistics cookies (only with your consent). Google Analytics cookies beginning with
_gahelp us understand, in aggregate, how the site is used. Google Analytics is blocked until you click Accept, and it does not receive your name, email address or form submissions.
We do not use advertising, marketing or tracking-pixel cookies. Website fonts are served from our own server, not from Google.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through Cookie preferences (also in the footer of every page). Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.
8. How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed:
- Enquiries and messages: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless an ongoing service requires longer.
- Updates list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
- Analytics data: according to the retention setting in our Google Analytics account, and no longer than 14 months.
- Security logs: for as long as needed to protect the site, usually a few months.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
9. How we protect it
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted administrator access, login protection and spam filtering. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information such as passwords, account numbers or identity documents through our forms.
